Hello folks, I just ordered a pedicab for myself on-line. Just to take the kids to school....Iīve been taking them in a bike-carriage towed with a Trek Mountain Bike, but have always figured that a Trike-Taxi would be more stable and less hassle, and the kids are getting bigger now so thereīs a weight issue. Got one on e-bay, not top-of-the-range, a Chinese import, but I think itīll do the job because the trip to school is only about 2 kilometres. Iīll let you know how things work out!

Welcome to our little corner of 'planet special' :), good to know that some individuals take the plunge with the three wheeled family pedicab transport.

I bought my own do our shopping runs & also change the body to allow for rubbish runs. One of the cool side lines is that most lend them self’s to not only being eye catching but also very versatile. Just browse through our gallery section for some ideas.

Sincerest thanks for that! My pedicab is as yet unassembled, Iīm not going to attempt it myself, the bike mechanics at a local store are going to do it for me next week (Iīve struck up a good relationship with them over the years, based on my other bikes). Iīm really excited about getting back into three wheels (I think the last time I was on a trike was about 41 years ago...). Iīll let you know how it goes, the bit that I find daunting is the weight...the trike is 60 kilos, I weigh 70, and my kids combined weight is about 45 kilos. I suppose if average speed is going to be 14 kilometres per hour, thatīs not a big problem, but hey, Sancho ainīt getting any younger....:)
