Stockholm is the first Capitol city in the world who has the speed limit of 30 km/h in all streets, BUT main streets. Not only in the city itself but even in suburbans. They started at 14 february 2005.
As for the rickshaws in the city we hope that this would give us moore jobs.
The police is satisfyed about the rickshaws on the streets. We cool down the trafic. At the sign of a rickshaw on the road the cars slow down.
The taxi drivers are also happy about the rickshaws. As we take the customers who want to ride a short distance. It cost lot of petrol to drive less then 5 km. And wear out the engine faster.
The car (http://0-2u.com/?go=car) release out even much moore polution on short distans drive.
Have a good ride! Josef
