I am having a problem with my business. Basically I did do some research and saw others sell alot of ads for alot more then i charge however i didnt wait long enough it seems. Now the other guys havent been aroudn for a month and i imagine they are done as i know many of their ads have left them. I was just curious what you guys think woudl be a good charge lets say monthly for the following spaces.

24"X24" Back
15X8 (2) Sides
4X18
and like 20 6"By 1' ads circling my canopy.

Now heres the deal. I am only running 2 nights for maybe 5 hours a night right now. The location a tourist attraction and is only really able to make anything on usually 2 nights a weeks. Not realyl sure on the numbers exactly but if i were to guess around 5,000 plus people see the ads a day. So with all that what do you think is reasonable? or any ways to cut cost as i am required to have insurance and the cheaper ones jacked up the rate 3 times after learning of my driving record with a car.... Thanks

What city are you in? Sounds like you should put up one of those signs that says YOUR SIGN HERE or get a short term deal and give away some advertising just to be seen. Best of Luck

Kemah, TX you may have heard of the kemah boardwalk that is where i operate. I actually have your ad here signs in place. Giving away ads hmmmmmmmm. I almost wonder if thats a good idea. I do try to cut deals liek buy 3 months get 1 free. I am just worried that once i give deals people will expect them. I also havetn realyl tried anyhting not retail or restaurant related to advertise with. Which ill try but not sure if itll really work to well.

I need some direction
on ad rates also as I am starting out (cycles maximus) in Huntsville, AL and I am going to logo the cab up with very cool colorful logos and have a board on the back that says "Advertise with Wild Dog Pedicab". However the rates are still questions I have. I am in a high pedestrian area and would like some direction if possible.

Why don't you call the local newspaper and speak to the person responsible for placing ads. Pick his brain because he deal with that all the time,
