We have made it through the summer, and suprise suprise all is still well! J-1 students have come, and some have gone. Some did very well, some did mediocre, and some did poorly, much like ANY Pedicab Marketplace. Some were great kids, honest, hardworking, and smart. Some were so-so drivers, didn't care too much, tried a little bit, and some were horrible. Some charged too much, had no idea where they were taking people, and just generally didn't belong in this business. These are the SAME problems that are faced by any Company in this business. The City and the Police realize this. We are working with them to help to elevate the Pedicab Program above and beyond just simply "making it through the summer". We are looking to establish a program that makes Human Powered Transportation a Permanent facet of San Diego's Transportation System. So far, so good. New regulations should be coming out in January! I will keep you all posted.
