As one getting ready to launch my own business, I would like to pick your collective brains....I promise it won't hurt.

Which do you prefer, trikes or trailers? What are your opinions on the benefits/drawbacks of each?

Trikes are a better long term investment. Assuming you maintain the trike you don't have to worry about your riders keeping their brakes in good working order.

Personally i think it is a bad idea to ask your employees to be responsible for maintaining a critical safety system.

There is that and trikes are less likely to injure your riders in the event of an accident or minor mishap. Plus trikes are much easier to start moving with a load of passengers if you are stopped on a slope. And it is easier to get and keep employees if they don't have to supply their own heavy duty bicycle. Etc.

also, if you are going to hire employees, here's a page with some information on how to comply with federal and state tax requirements: Ten Steps to Hiring New Employees | Business.gov (http://www.business.gov/business-law/employment/hiring/first-employee.html)

Cheers!
