Hello out there!

Just finished building this rickshaw and was wondering what it's value is. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm including a link to a site that give a decent description of it and also has a few pictures.

http://chicago.craigslist.org/bik/77404941.html

In a nutshell, it's one of the smaller sorts and so is a little ligher as well. It has front shocks and an electric-assist on the front whell. Also has two battery packs for a total range of about 25 miles--but range does depend on how the assist is applied.

Most of the other factory-made models run at least a few grans, from what I hear--and they don't even have an assist. I wonder if $1450 is a good ballpark for mine?

Thanks

Hi thericketyrickshaw,

don't mean to down your parade but are you sure that the breaks & forkes are up to the job. I have seen quite a few rickshaws (most of them home builds) & the biggest killer with these trikes is the breaking & frame.

In two an issue of stabilety, as they were too narrow, which means that as you turn around a corner they are more likely to role(they were under a meter wide & the esating was as high as its on yours).

The electric front drive wheel is great, as long as your forkes can handle the start & stop (they flex at the joint were it goes into the frame main tub) because if its not then they become history very quickly & dramaticaly, hence you see the likes of mainstreet & maximus having changed there front forks.

Good luck if your going to produce a few, as the price is very nice (make sure you have product liabilety because as the maker any accidents will find there way to you).
