I have contacted ever public official that I can locate on the internet in Burlington VT. The Fire Marshal and Code Enforcement office were very interested in his residential welding shop. I sent them a list of the many safety violation I saw when I was there. The attorney general was pretty helpful also. We will together take this man down if his is not going to refund us. You should post your other pics as well for the world to see.

these are just some of the pictures of our $5000 dollar bike that we purchased from James Simpson, Pedal Power Bike Taxi in Burlington Vt. I have requested my money back... there has been no response. I believe he is in hiding. When we first called around to different companies, James gave us solid advice on how to run the business, he gave us his cab designs and we were in constant contact for several months before we made the transaction. I even sent someone to check him out. This is an absolute tragedy of a crime for the industry. We will proceed with our actions but we will be determined to buy a top quality bike.

I have to ask though. Did you post anything on here asking for referances? Or read anything he's written over the years? I'm definately not blaming any of the buyers of his cabs, but I can't imagine dropping $5000 on something he's never built before? Especially when a used main street can be found for half that price?
And not to be a pessimist. But even if he wanted to refund you, honestly, you think he has that money still? Or ever will?
Those photos are incredible. I wish he'd come back on here now. I'd Love to hear him justify this. What a hack. And for him to brag the way he does, just makes me think he must be either insane, a total scam artist, a full on tweaker..or all the above. This is inexcusable.

Ill tell you what has happened....this forum has become a complete tool for anyone to create the scenario that will fit with the last guys complaints.......and the police have been called, and updated on their threats, police have called GEARS personally, and warned him to back off his current path of demise and vengeance, as well as the games that they are all playing together to try to stop me from creating cabs because they were "unsafe".......without any public trial/civil trial.......this is not a court to me, nor is it a fair assesment of our work and the work of two other shops who have taken a 9000.00 prototyping estimate, and reduced it to 1250 and 250 respectfully for milling and waterjet cutting.
GEARS has taken the advice of others here, AFTER thanking me repetitively and displaying the Working Cab he is in possession of, that was even rushed ahead of other's pending plans to get him a simple trailer......Now they are tag teaming to try to commit murder.........or get away with inflicting as much damage as possible having been exposed as sham complaints. They are being warned not to trespass again, have made plans to harass me and intimidate me, and have balked on every deal that they were claiming we were a go for............
GEARS was told that the cabs are to be sized to a normal mountain bike for a 26" er....he complained that he wasn't able to ride the cab without the Steering Tube rubbing on the rear tire......
HE HAD THE CAB SEATED AS LOW AS POSSIBLE ON THE DROPOUTS< WITH TWO AND A HALF INCHES OF MOTION TO ADJUST FOR DIFFERENT SIZED mountain bikes, he had the cab bottomed out???...........to show up there to hand deliver and install the rest of his goods, and to see him now creating a Pedicab Business with a Beach Cruiser???, with an extremely recessed seat, and extended chainstays. He was completely frustrated, and was looking to buy more cabs and I offered to fit it and the next ones he was looking for to the style of bike HE was now choosing to ride for a recommended uniform fleet........
I sized these cabs to a 18" Kona MTB with a good average frame size and decent seat post angle that was comparable with many other universal frame styles. This is one of the intentional misrepresentations, he is using as a leverage point to change his original story, of thanks and respect for the hard work in getting this arranged in a very short time....we have never had any rubs like he was describing, and now because of the threats of harm and threats to our landlord (watty having all the connections) he has taken it into his own hands....claiming the law is after me, and that I am going to be butt raped, on this website.........haven't you seen this crap??? Huge font....all four letter words...........real intelligent, almost crying to be taken away in cuffs............for cyber crimes, and threats made to others not even involved.....He called the Landlord's Girlfriend to try to convince me to move out or there would be a shit ton of his upstate NY guys there with him.........to harass innocent people until they called the cops today as well....whoops.....looks like tomorrow the trespass warnings are going out online, just so he knows that when I say Pre-Trial Disposition, I mean the whole truth.
As far as the prototype trike.........
No broken frames, two riders got a test run on the back, and one worked for Boston Pedicab a while ago, verifying the cabs existence as fully operational and a higher performance rating than that of all the other's he rode for Boston, a few delays from both sides in timing and delivery, late payments, changed contracts mid fabrication/planning, sizing down their order from 6 to 1, and wondering why after going overbudget about 750....wasn't able to give them an instant refund??? and an extended series of emails and thank you's for my work for getting them going in business with leads, contacts, insurance, and other business contacts that have set up their first contracts for them.....spoon feeding them business leads!!!!......both parties decided to make sure that I am "Run out of Burlington", as if they have some newer form of inspiration from the "professionals" looking to expose themselves as honest working people who just put their families lives on the lines for a chance to make a buck in the Pedicab Industry???? No the pictures of the family have much to do with this sympathetic lure and a desire to create the "we feel sorry for you effect"
After they voyaged here to pick up the cab, after many faults being corrected in paint selections, as recommended that it was a newer coating process, A Krylon X-Metals Annodization Layering, with a base coat..........of yellow to highlight...........and because the chems in the annodiz. gloss were so very powerful they peeled the paint off and wrinkled the base coat....even after the entire cab was de-burred and prepped with a spinning wire brush, a 24 hr dry on the base coat (primer is base coat) giving it a perfect base to work from........and after this failure to propoerly coat this, that it might take additional time, they assured me they would give me a little time to sand down the cab, and then repaint with a layer of a more industrial paint grade.......which I did, and before I could make the final layers.......many things happened....brake mounts were cut off to replace with a better fitting placement......also had to re-space the disc brakes rotors on the hubs, because the frickin AVID Specs do not show the sizing of the fixed caliper housing in relation to the spokes, and their lacing....leaving me to have to make magic happen for their appearance and get it to a state of permanent spacing and adjustment to create this working masterpiece............or work hard as hell for hours on end, to try to get the vehicle working in a safe and fully manageable state for their pick up.....all components were installed.........mind you every complaint was for the "Amount of Money" they all spent, to be expecting something along the lines of Superman's Carbon Fiber Dream Bike........then to give me the spiel that the 140 dollar payment I made to them in cash was nothing of a reponsible decision in the timing that was created for me to have to perform this last series of changes and cosmetic tuning.
As they were leaving....they basically gave me a ride to pick both the money up for part of their gas/travel expenses as well as getting them enough to replace the Stem bolts and star nut that had both snapped off and stripped during tightening.....two bolt snapped that morning.....sunday.....with ni chance to afford a wuick replacement...they accepted the offer of cash to be able to simply replace the existing and problematic one, or have it serviced with three new bolts.......too much for them to handle.........
I guess that they have a serious issue not being able to just buy one off the lot, and don't understand what custom fabrication is all about.......... I had about two months of consultation earning their respect.....as well as being "Checked Out" ....by a professional Aerospace engineer......who even signed me a copy of his Hartford Whalers Promo Pic....Norm Barnes....I even had his Hockey Card as a kid, and he was impressed enough to get into a design phase with our ROTORCRAFT PROJECT if we could find the funding.........I had the trike framed out awaiting the components and paint job after 3 weeks (one of those weeks was ordering the materials and fabricating the jig), and they weren't patient enough to accept that they themselves had three weeks of delays in pick up after that, causing me to suspend the finalization process until a more suitable window was available, and start up the other pending projects...including old GEARS' one trailer...but they both decided to try to demand a full dedication to their projects at the same time, and then to demand a full refund after these shenanigans, and also have been openly consorting with old Scary Gary.....who personally tried to corner me one night and get up in my face to declare his sovereignty over an area he rarely ever made it to, having been known to be a place away from the cutthroat world of Phoenix's Premier Cab Company........he's retired now from riding and I am going to continue to ride free from any alterations of a custom fabrication contract that had thrown out the door as a joke.....just look at their posts. These threats have turned the tables for us, and we are confident that we are able to continue our efforts to deliver these bikes under our company name and continue these projects as listed on our website.......no matter how severe the threat is to our lives......we still have the right to show that these claims are very small issues of cosmetic nature in her pictures, do not show any of the expensive components that are available on the bike, nor does she note the current price, or the fact that I quoted her for a single bike at the wholesale rates......as she had planned a 6 cab fleet, and balked for weeks on her start dates. All of her complaints relate solely to a single trip to VT (where there son lives) and they had to pay for a 260 dollar hotel room??? and they are charging me with fraud??? and they even said that I had threatened her and slashed her tires.....GEARS was all over that post like he wasnt really running the 6 businesses he claims to be the owner of, causing his lack of any time to spare. These issues do not relate to the operational capacity of the vehicle and its design.......yet every one has had there second thoughts wishing they wanted the Trike when they have bought the Trailer.....so I guess that I should just be able to have second thoughts and be able to charge them all for the extrapolated expenses incurred in Forever Green's Workhorse......wrong......I took care of that....as well as delivering all of the components to GEARS personally. two days and then a second trip after the sewing machine decided it wasnt going to co-operate..........we had stitched it by hand, and had fitted it to the frame, and there was even a picture of the vehicle posted here showing their success with people on the back of it......
differential, drivetrain, and all the brake levers, the splitter, the calipers, and the derrailleurs were all working, and there are a series of minor adjustments that would make them even better, yet they refused to do any work, tallying up a serious bill....investigating the potential of this bike, before it was even being paid for, under an intention to be a spying entity in our business office, freely accepting CAD prints from us for their "other" interests......which they are seriously planning to execute.....with all of the cards lining up towards a low class lie and a serious money hustle..................
Each one of them had taken a stab at our shop........DJ WATTY rund the most dumped out hotel in plattsburg........and he talked shit about me not having a car.......not the Pedal Power We Were Talking About.........He Turned the Tables and called the fire chief and lied out of his ass crack....getting them to show up, but only saying high, and that we would love to see you succeed, so we are going to find you an incubator business program, called "Growing Money"...wow right up a peddler's alley huh........how nice they actually were shows me he's not got the gravitas he claims to have in town....making threats of posting litter around the city, making himself the wanted fool. They dont like post it notes from anyone on any subject here, and he wont be surrounding me with any paper to scare me.......he has avowed in emails to bring three or four of his friend to pay a visit he says............what do you think will happen??????
............and now Pedal Tek's previous battle has led them to believe that I am some violent nutcase because, on an open forum, I faced insults, threats and all kinds of harassment with a defense against all of their pompous accusations.......out of raw street battle ethics???
and they even tried to say I was threatening their kids?? and slashed their tires and then their truck seat, then why did they not call the police??? And they hung out for hours at the shop, while they were waiting.........???
Some classic scenarios for you to consider in your deductions.........as well as for you to consider reporting this to the authorities of threats being made online.........care to assist me in the official printout of records for my defense??

I don't have to tell you that not a single person has innovated to this degree nor ever produced this, that's obvious because of the fact that you are trolling looking for a fight and a cheap used cab from anyone??
