Good question.

1. There was nobody before fighting 3 years for the permits as me

2. Barcelona is a very modern city. The city of design. And before
Velotaxi there was no manufacturer with fancy designed pedicabs.

I started with a convential pedicab (like Main Street or Velocab) but the
local government don't liked the design, because they remember them of the classic rickshaw of the third world.

We know all, that the quality of a lot of manufacturers is very good and that they also looking nice....For example the Velocab and MSP pedicabs a very good.

But a design like Velotaxi fits better in a city like Barcelona at the point of view of the "big heads" of the local government. They don't look like a rickshaw and this was very important to them.

Why is trixi the only pedicab company in Spain? It seems there are many flat, pedestrian-friendly areas for which pedicabs would be great!

Well, I think its pritty cool that you did the struggle as this form of transport has a role to play, as is now being recognised in London. Customers would not use us if they did not feel that it was some thing worth doing & our growth has been because of demand. Keep it going & expand trixi, as it would be fun to be able to ride in pedicabs other than the velotaxis.

Good luck & many more birthdays
