For the purposes of healthy debate and general knowledge, I'd like to know which of these bikes is the best: Main Street, Maximus, Tipke or Charleston? I'm also wondering about the Cyclestone, is this different from the Tipke? or is it simply a variation?
I know they all have their advantages, so lets compare price, durability, maintenance, seating/weight capacity, and overall size/weight. Try to stay objective.

I do believe that tipke is out of buisness....if you are gonna run a profitable operation, go with the best you can afford. I run Main Streets, but am impressed with the Max's. I have not seen a Charleston up close, but they look good too. Main Street has been around the longest. I always look at which unit has the best brakes and equipment for repair (parts)

Depending on the type of ride you like and the type of ride you like for your passengers, all are good. Tipke is out of business. Main Street seems to get better and better with quality over time. They are the largest pedicab manufacturer of pedicabs in the world. They have a lot of torque, they can carry a lot of weight, and the maneuver quite well. Maximus does fine, depending on your ride style. They are also easier (more or less) to maintain. You can order bike parts and have the bike fixed in an easier period of time. Maximus, you have to order European parts, which, if your bikes go down, you are losing time and money. Good luck.

We have researched most of the products out there and have chosen to operate a fleet of Main Street pedicabs. Beyond the quality and proven reliability of these workhorses, their support and customer service is a phone call away....WHO you purchase a pedicab from can be as important as WHAT brand you purchase.:)
