Alitallia is a way cool airline to fly. Hot trolly dollies who aint stingy with the spark plugs, even though my flight went through Malpenza they flew me down to Fiumicno and back for free as I wanted a bit of reality befor going home. I had just spent 4 months going overland from Dakar to Accra and after all that time in Ouest Afrique a few days in Rome was just what I needed. Unfortunatly I came down with malaria, it was my 2nd time so I reconised the symtoms and got to a Dr. the next day, I still had to endure the worst of it for a couple of days, it hit fast that time but the hospitle did not charge me I only had to pay the precription, 4 days later I was back in Toronto hustleing tourists with my rickshaw! Rome is definatly cool. Milan wasent that great but Venice anf Florance are a must.
We did Rome a few summers agao & it is amazing! Then we did Venice in the winter, there are great deals & we managed to stay in a camping site. They had little huts with a very small heater (got very cold at night!) but during the day by bus to Venice & it was all worth while!
Rome would be sooooooo cool for pedicabs, so watching that space!
