I am considering a pedicab for local around town errands, primarily to transport an elderly parent partially because I think they will enjoy it. The location is southern california mostly flat terrain

Looking around the web and having read a bit from this forum there are two pedicabs that seem to be a good fit.

main street pedicab classic
tipke pedicab

I downloaded the pdf on the classic and was generally satisfied with the information available on the web site.
Browsed around the premierpedicab site and sent them an email inquiry but never got a reply. Site seems rather sparse on details.

One question I have about both pedicabs is how hard would it be to remove the shell so the pedicab could be used to haul loads?

All the usual questions, how easy to self maintain, get replacement parts, safety.

Any suggestions on other things I should consider or be aware of would be most appreciated.

Both have quite easy to remove bodys, so not much between them but maintenance is quite easy with the mainstreet. The body to subframe connections are easy to use & I just finished making a transport body for my old mainstreet.
