Hi to all,

today I sent an email to all users telling that Rickshawforum.com has moved and that the forum was down during 5 days or something like that....

Now our forum is back and we had no data lost.

There are several reasons for the moving and renaming....

First: When I started this forum 5 years ago (yes, on 17th of december we the forum has BIRTHDAY - let's have a beer) - the word pedicab was not very common in Europe, but in USA....but time is changing and "pedicab" is getting more popular every day in Europe. So I decided to switch from Rickshawforum to Pedicabforum and I hope that it will be ok for everybody here.

Of course you may enter the PedicabForum still with the domain Rickshawforum - no problem at all - you will be forwarded. I have done this changes 5 minutes ago and it may take 24-48 hours to be visible on the Internet.

I had a lot of trouble with the database server of our hosting company (Ipowerweb) - very slow - a shared server with hundred of other domains....for this reason I decided to host this forum on our own dedicated server. On this way we have "full control" and root access. Everthing should go faster now (loading time).

I never moved a forum - so this was a great experience for me - we are moving pedicabs everyday. But I learned a lot and "played" a bit with the layout - it looks "fresher" know - but I guess that somebody should do a revision of the forum style....I am already talking to some graphic specialists....a nice style would be a nice birthday gift for the forum.

If you are missing the directory and the photo gallery: Everthing is at my hard disk. But I had no time to install it here...it will come back during the next weeks....

I am very busy - as you....tomorrow we will have a big BBQ with all of our drivers (Barcelona) and also the staff from Madrid will be here....we will have the BBQ at my home - if you are in town tomorrow: Give me a call and let's have a beer: BBQ 13.10.2009 - but please understand that a BBQ with our drivers is (at least for me) more important then the Photo Gallery .... I am "latinized".
