Pedicab riders wanted in Auckland City
Heart of the City is in search of 4 new riders to join our pedicab team.
A typical day riding a Tikki Tikki involves pedalling within the Auckland CBD picking up passengers and dropping them off.
- Strength and endurance are important as drivers are expected to work 6 hour shifts, up to 4 days a week.
- Proactive individuals who seek out their passengers have the advantage of earning great money as this is a commission based job (riders have earned up to $100 an hour)
- We currently have nine Tikki Tikki (pedi-cabs) which operate in Auckland CBD Wednesday – Sunday.
Riding a Tikki Tikki is a great opportunity to get fit, meet new people and make good money. Best suited for the self-motivated, hard worker who is looking to get more than just work out of their job!
You must have your FULL driver’s license (we will be checking this) to able to ride as the bike cabs are classified as a road vehicle. Bike mechanic skills required for day to day maintenance.
And for those wondering if the Tikki Tikki’s will be operating during Rugby World Cup, the answer is yes. And those on the team now will get first pick on the shifts during the World Cup.
If you like active outdoor work, are keen to meet new people get in contact with us!
Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit.
If you are interested in joining our pedicab team please email jocelyn@hotcity.co.nz

You don't need a drivers licence for pedicabs in new zealand not by law anyway. They are not classified as a vehicle just a bike.
I've done it in Auckland and it's hard you got massive hills they have removed the electric assists on the bikes so now it's even harder. And the money isn't great. You'd make at best $600 a week in summer ($250 in winter).
