Hi All,

I'd just like to take the time to introduce myself. I'm Tony and originally from Edinburgh. I worked as a messenger both in Edinburgh and Dublin before moving out to South America to start a business in tourism. I currently run a downhill mountain biking tour through the Andes. I've been interested in Pedicabs for many years and about 6 months ago I set about building my own so I contracted a Trike builder here in Colombia and we started designing our own cab with the idea to transport tourists from the local hotels to the bus station. We've made plenty of mistakes along the way but have also been fortunate enough to have spent some time with several Pedicab builders from both Colombia and the US who have helped us tweak and tune the design. With any luck, we'll roll out in February 2012.

I am also very much interested in the Pedicab market in Edinburgh and plan to develop some ideas over the next couple of years including the development of the website edinburghrickshaws.com.

I hope to be a regular contributor to the forum and look foward to hearing any feedback you might have for a newbie to the pedicab business!
