    Default Chinese Cycles Maximus

Looks like these 250 pound beast pedicabs with easily broken internal shifting transfer hubs are being imported from china.

A friend of mine imported 20 of them, he already spent £8000 extra. Still struggles to find dirver though, whoever tries them, they return it within few hours. The rumours are already on the street, Nobody wants to touch them. I think, in the end he would need throw them away.

"The cheap stuff will be expensive at the end" - Spanish saying.

Buy original pedicabs - not cheap chinese wannabees. As Ricksy said: Not even the drivers wont touch them.

    Waste of money.

Ricky: I hope he will recycle them on the regular way....in the big "Chinese low quality container"

To be honest with you, couple of years ago I ordered two samples of different models from China, on the web site they looked great, but as soon as the samples arrived I threw them away. That was the lesson I got but luckily it wasnt an expensive one.

I feel sorry for him, he looks so stressed, I think he is paying for his mistake, I hope he learns from it...

I've told people a milion times, don't make an elephant out of a mouse , they got 23 in london and only one is on the street BUT also they would be less fun if they were any good, enjoy.

This guy is in along line of 'learners', most are just jumping at the 'el do rado' idea & get rich quick without the home work.

Sorry guys, but if pedicab manufacture and sale becomes anyway profitable, lower-cost manufacturers will improve their designs and you will have to compete with them. It's called the Free Market, and as I said on another thread, insisting that buyers purchase only US/UK-made products is Protectionism of the shallowest kind. You would be incensed if Taxi Drivers were allowed Protectionist practices to squeeze you out of the market. And as a proud owner of a Chinese-made pedicab, I'd point out that the Chinese did, after all, invent the Rickshaw-bike, and could claim that European and US manufacturers actually stole their ideas. I'm not trying to be controversial here, just trying to alert you to the realities of the Global Economy. If you feel there's something unique and original about the design of your product, can't you copyright it? Manufacturers of Cars, Hi-Fi, Electronics, Optics, etc. etc. have to compete with Asian producers...why not you?
