Thumbs up Here is my baby

I rode this over 50 miles to an event on Sat. Not a single problem or flat. Proven design and a weight of less than 125 lbs without the tools. The gearing is very close to a "normal mountain bike." I will blog about my trip on www.pedicabblog.com

    Default 120lbs ? Really?

120 lbs is very light for a pedicab. Mainstreets are running in the 170 pound range according to their web site. Is is a customer build? Did you make the seat out of carbon fiber? Thin wall cro-moly tubing? Looks like the stem is an old style BMX quill type. Does the fork have a 1" steerer tube? Does it have a differential?

I own a velocab which I think is the best cab. If it was not made in europe and made in the USA I think it would be the number one seller with out question. It runs great with very little maintence. I have fixed three flats and replaced the eight speed cluster and chain. I have owned it since october of 2007.

    Hi HEV,

Are you talking about a "Velocab" or a pedicab you call velocab as synonym for a Velocab Just to avoid confusion..

I actually own a conference bike now also. The money and fun that I have with a conference bike is double to say the least. The reason I got one is because I got tired of people asking me if I could take six people. Now the question is there room for one more. They are expensive but I am well on my way to getting my money back. I still think velocabs are the best pedicab in the business.

Ken you are a talented person. Real curious if you can make your prototype cheaper that you can get retail. If you do not mind when you are done and get your first paying customer to tell us your bottom line cost for materials. I know your time is very valuable will not figure into the final cost.
