Hi to all,
my name is Gerald - my user name "Trixi.com". I am an operator in Barcelona (Spain). 7 years ago I started with an idea: "Pedicabs in Barcelona".

It was not easy. I "fought" 3 years with the city council. After this time they gave me the chance to convince them. So we started in 2003 with 6 pedicabs from www.veloform.com. Actually we have 10 of them. Next year we will buy 5 pedicabs more. Once in the sector we started also www.biketoursbarcelona.com and www.patinete.es ....If you come to Barcelona: Take one of our bikes, pedicabs or kick scooters ;-)

But I always remember when I started...just few people were willing to help me "How to set up a pedicab company"...This was very significant for me and after 2 years of my own operation I started this forum.

The idea was and still is: Giving "Newbies" a hand to set up their company and make growing the pedicab business and giving the "Veterans" a platform for exchanging expierences.

I hope you enjoy this forum. Tell us who you are, which ideas you have in mind and how can we help you to set up your company. Pedicabbers are very special people: Mostly open minded & fighters & living a dream. This is the reason why we are in the buisness and not behind a big desktop with 14 monthly and regular payments. And we hope to may to help you!

I am Vivek from India. The cycle rickshaws used in India are outdated and there is a need to create a suistainable transport in India.

I am looking forward to import a VeloTaxi (Used) just to show our city corporation authorities and obtain a permit to ply this vehicle.

I have no knowledge about what quality of product to be bought and would be happy if someone could guide on that.

Design is very important to me, so PediCab, Cycle Rickshaw are out of Consideration and only VeloTaxi will be considered for import.

Any person willing to sell their exisiting VeloTaxi can quote the specifications & CIF price at Nhava-Sheva port in Mumbai, India.

Once I get a permit to ply these vehicle, I will import more of them and probably new ones. Thanks.

Dunno bout that but I am sure there are a few people tryin to unload some cheap eco taxi knock offs called speedy cabs in London.
